Welcome to Potential Kids Children Ministry.
Potential Kids is the name of our elementary Children’s Ministry at Potential Church and is led by a team of staff and volunteers whose passion is children and whose mission is to “Partner with Families to help their children reach their God Potential.” Our goal is to provide a fun and interactive program tailored just for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade to help them know Jesus, follow him as their Lord and grow spiritually as they build meaningful relationships with other children and adults!
Our weekend program for Potential Kids is designed to meet the developmental and spiritual needs of our children while providing a safe and fun environment. Our staff and volunteers work diligently each week to provide a complete service tailored to meet your children where they are. Our weekend program is organized into the following structure: Game Time, Worship, Offering, Live Bible Teaching, and Connect Groups.
Common Questions Asked by Parents Visiting for the First Time:
Each of our volunteers has completed a Potential Kids New Leader Orientation which includes age-level training, thorough review of our safety and security policies and a background check. This detailed process ensures that we will provide your child with the best possible care in a safe and secure child-friendly environment.
At the time of check-in, a loving and trained volunteer leader will greet you. You will be asked to provide us with a phone number for a cell phone that you have in your possession. In the event that we need to contact you during the service, we will send you a text message. (Remember to leave your cell phone on vibrate/silence during the service.) You and your child will receive a check-in tag specifically created for your child. To ensure their security, your child will not be released without presentation of your corresponding tag. In the event that your tag is misplaced, you can pick up your child by presenting your photo ID.
Once your service ends, you will pick up your child from the same area that you dropped them off. Upon dismissal, our leaders will bring your child to you. There you will be asked to show your parent pick-up tag. Once we receive your tag and match it to your child’s, your child will be released along with a take home devotional specifically made for you with activities designed to help you reinforce the lesson that your child learned at home during the week.
