Family Dedication

Sunday – May 9, 2021

Proverbs 22:6 (NIV) “Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.”

We believe children are a gift from God. Because of this, one of the most important responsibilities parents have is dedicating their home to the following of God’s leadership and allowing Christ’s influence to shape the life of their child. There are no such thing as perfect parents… but we believe that if we commit to honoring God in all areas of our lives, we will help guide our children into becoming the Godly men and women they were created to be.

FAQ

What is Family Dedication?  A special service where parents bring their children (of any age) up on stage to be prayed over by Pastors Troy and Steph. During that time, our Pastors will challenge parents to raise their children in a way that honors God, as well as pray with them as they dedicate their families to God.

Do I have to say anything? No, you don’t have to say anything while on stage.

What should I wear? Dress in appropriate clothing that you would wear on a typical weekend at Potential Church. You are able to dress up but it isn’t required

What happens when I’m up on stage?  While the pastors are speaking during the dedication, all we ask is that you keep control of your child(ren) for the duration of the event. Please do not allow your children to run free around the stage for their safety and the safety of our other guests. Besides this, all you need to do is enjoy the moment and pray with our pastors!

Who can be a part of this? – Children 18 and under, married parents (husband/wife), as well as single moms and dads are always welcome.
